Jakarta, Oct. 5 -- The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) is supporting Indonesian films in international festivals as part of efforts to position the creative economy sub-sector as a driving force for national economic growth.

One of the key initiatives is the participation of the film Tegar, directed by Anggi Frisca, at the Silk Road International Film Festival held in Fuzhou, China, from September 22 to 26, 2025.

Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Teuku Riefky Harsya said that Tegar's participation in an international event is both a source of pride and clear proof that the film industry can become a new engine of economic growth.
