Jakarta, March 8 -- The Ministry of Religious Affairs said that the distribution of ecoenzyme by the Indonesian Buddhist Youth Generation (Gemabudhi) at the pesticide-contaminated Jeletreng River, Banten, is a real example of ecotheology.
"This is a real practice of ecotheology. Hopefully, this movement will continue to grow, as the community is committed to producing more ecoenzyme," the ministry's Director General of Buddhist Community Guidance, Supriyadi, said here on Sunday.
The Jeletreng River in South Tangerang, Banten, which flows to the Cisadane River, had been contaminated with pesticide residues following a fire at a storage warehouse in February.
