Jakarta, July 28 -- Head of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) Arif Satria emphasized that downstreaming development and industrialization in the mining sector should no longer rely solely on short-term technologies, but also anticipate future technological advancements.

Speaking at the fifth edition of the BRIN Goes To Industry (BGTI 5) forum, themed "Downstreaming Research and Innovation in the Mining Sector", here on Tuesday, Satria reminded industry players to begin projecting future technological developments so that large-scale investments do not become futile due to the adoption of technologies that quickly become obsolete.
