Jakarta, Oct. 23 -- The National Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) views the establishment of the National Agrarian Reform Agency (BRAN) as a promising step toward resolving and preventing agrarian conflicts through a legal, fair, and human rights-centered approach.

Speaking in Jakarta on Friday, Komnas HAM Chairperson Anis Hidayah described BRAN as a crucial and highly strategic institution that the public has long awaited, as land disputes have dragged on for years and often proved difficult and complex to resolve.
