Jakarta, Aug. 27 -- The Food and Drug Monitoring Agency (BPOM) will follow up on allegations of food trays from the Free Nutritional Meal Program (MBG) containing pork fat through laboratory testing.

"We will follow up on this issue through testing, as our laboratory is equipped to run it," the head of BPOM, Taruna Ikrar, spoke to the media on Wednesday.

The laboratory testing will be carried out to clarify the issue, he added.

While not providing a specific testing time, Ikrar confirmed that laboratory testing will be conducted soon.

"We will follow up as soon as possible," he affirmed.
