BPK encourages ministries to apply ESG principles in budget management
Jakarta, Aug. 3 -- Indonesia's Supreme Audit Board (BPK) encourages ministries and institutions to implement Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles in planning and evaluating the use of state budgets to improve the quality of development.
A member of BPK, Nyoman Adhi Suryadnyana, stated that state financial management is no longer solely measured by budget absorption, but also must be able to provide tangible benefits to the community through improved quality of life, equitable distribution of prosperity, and sustainable development.
