Grobogan, April 3 -- The Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) of Grobogan District, Central Java, has taken swift measures to address floods that affected 3,176 families across 16 villages in the district.
"Flooding occurred on Thursday night (April 2), inundating 16 villages across five sub-districts, namely Kedungjati, Tanggungjarjo, Gubug, Tegowanu, and Purwodadi," BPBD Head Wahyu Tri Darmawanto remarked in Grobogan on Friday.
He underlined quick responses, noting that the agency had deployed personnel to work with volunteers, residents, and local authorities to overcome the disaster, which was triggered by heavy rainfall from afternoon to evening that caused the Tuntang, Serang, and Kliteh Rivers to overflow.
