Bogor District, July 6 -- Head of Bogor District Rudy Susmanto reported that widespread flooding and landslides had struck 18 sub-districts in the region following continuous torrential rain since Saturday night (July 5).
Referring to data from the Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD), he noted that landslides occurred at 21 locations, while floods were reported at seven sites across the affected sub-districts.
"We have been striving to quickly evacuate residents and handle the situation," Susmanto stated in an official statement cited in Bogor District, West Java, on Sunday.
He confirmed that the disasters had claimed three lives and damaged a number of homes and public infrastructure.
