Jakarta, July 27 -- Head of the National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) Eddy Hartono said collaboration among ministries and government agencies had succeeded in rehabilitating around 250 children exposed to extremism from late 2024 through 2025.

"By the end of 2024 through 2025, the government had carried out mitigation efforts. We, together with intelligence and law enforcement agencies, have undertaken mitigation measures and provided rehabilitation and guidance to approximately 250 minors," Hartono said in here on Monday.

The rehabilitation and guidance efforts are part of the government's commitment to preventing and countering violence-based extremism leading to terrorism.
