Jakarta, Sept. 10 -- Indonesia's National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) is assessing tsunami preparedness along the Banten coast, including Pandeglang and Serang districts and Cilegon city, using the standard indicators of the Tsunami Ready program.

Acting Head of the BNPB Disaster Data, Information and Communication Center Berton SP Panjaitan said Thursday that the agency's Prevention Deputy Team has conducted assessments since September 6, coordinating with local governments, monitoring affected areas and providing preparedness assistance.
