Denpasar, Bali, June 8 -- The National Narcotics Agency (BNN) is investigating a suspected international drug trafficking network following the arrest of Russian nationals in Bangli, Bali, during which officers confiscated around 7.8 kilograms of narcotics.

The Head of the BNN's Public Relations and Protocol Bureau, Brigadier General Putu Putera Sadana, said on Sunday, June 7, that the case was uncovered through collaboration between the BNN, the Directorate General of Customs and Excise, the Indonesian National Police, and the Ministry of Immigration and Correctional Affairs.

According to him, the arrests of the two foreign nationals mark only the initial stage of efforts to dismantle a broader syndicate.
