Jakarta, April 1 -- Indonesia's National Narcotics Agency (BNN) has prepared 1,818 facilitators under its Prevention and Eradication of Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (P4GN) program to reinforce anti-drug initiatives at the village level.

BNN Main Secretary Tantan Sulistyana warned that drug abuse remains a "serious threat with multidimensional impacts," citing the 2025 national prevalence survey which found the abuse rate had risen to 2.11 percent-equivalent to 4.15 million people.

"This situation has prompted BNN to continue strengthening P4GN services by preparing facilitators as the spearhead of the efforts within the community," Sulistyana said in a statement confirmed in Jakarta on Wednesday.
