BMKG warns of rain, haze and poor visibility in several major cities
Jakarta, Aug. 28 -- Indonesia's Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) forecast rain, haze and reduced visibility in several major Indonesian cities on Friday, urging residents to monitor changing weather conditions.
BMKG forecaster Ranika Dwi said atmospheric conditions triggering rain and reduced visibility should be watched closely in several areas during an online weather briefing from Jakarta.
"Moderate rain is possible in Nabire, while light rain is expected in Medan, Jambi, Bengkulu, Tanjung Selor, Mamuju, Palu, Jayapura, Jayawijaya and Merauke," she said.
