Jakarta, Aug. 20 -- The Ministry of National Development Planning (PPN)/National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas) emphasized that bioeconomy, an economic model based on the utilization of renewable biological resources, should go hand in hand with conservation efforts and ecosystem restoration.
"Our biodiversity holds enormous bioeconomic potential, encompassing marketable marine commodities for export, ecotourism potential, and the implementation of biodiversity credits," said Rachmat Pambudy, Minister of National Development Planning and Head of Bappenas, in Jakarta on Tuesday.
