Jayapura, Aug. 26 -- Bank Indonesia's Papua office is accelerating regional digitalization by launching National QRIS Week (PQN) across Papua as an effort to increase use of the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) in both informal and formal sectors.
The campaign, held from August 11-17, included promotions, public discussions, and outreach programs spanning Jayapura and Merauke. The initiative received strong support from small businesses, local governments, and residents, according to BI Papua Head Faturachman.
"This is a new program, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. QRIS makes transactions simpler and more inclusive," he said.
