Denpasar, March 16 -- The Indonesian National Nutrition Agency (BGN) has suspended the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program in Bali during the Eid al-Fitr and Nyepi holiday season, using the break to comprehensively evaluate MBG kitchens following public complaints.
Risca Christina, the agency's Bali coordinator, confirmed in Denpasar on Monday that her team will concentrate on inspecting kitchens-officially called Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPG)-from March 18 to 30.
"During this holiday, we are focusing on SPPGs, aiming to improve and evaluate them so they are ready to resume operations and address shortcomings by March 31," she said.
