Jakarta, Sept. 24 -- The Indonesian National Alms Agency (Baznas) has mobilized aid for residents affected by flash floods in Nagekeo District, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) province, by setting up public kitchens, providing health services, and distributing essential supplies.

In a statement cited here on Wednesday, Baznas Head of Distribution and Empowerment Saidah Sakwan said the agency had immediately deployed personnel to affected areas after the flooding on September 8.

She noted that Baznas had been coordinating with the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) and local authorities to ensure that the basic needs of flood-affected residents are met during the emergency.
