Gorontalo, July 25 -- Indonesia's National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) safely evacuated 12 people, including 11 foreign nationals, after their speedboat capsized in the Gulf of Tomini, with the search ongoing for the missing captain.

Herinyanto, head of the Gorontalo SAR Office, said on Saturday that a joint team rescued the victims after finding them adrift on a raft.

"We have received a report from Tojo UnaUna District confirming that 11 foreign passengers and one crew member were found safe. They have been evacuated to a resort in Tojo UnaUna," he remarked in Gorontalo.
