Jakarta, Aug. 15 -- Indonesia's National Search and Rescue Agency (Basarnas) evacuated three people trapped under building debris after a magnitude 7.7 earthquake struck East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) on Saturday, killing one and injuring two.

"All three victims have been evacuated; one died and two were injured," Basarnas Deputy Operations Director Edy Prakoso said here in Jakarta.

A joint SAR team conducted the evacuation at Lauren Say Port in Sikka District, where a building collapsed after the earthquake struck offshore near Mbay, Nagekeo District.

"When the earthquake struck, a building at Lauren Say Port in Sikka collapsed and struck residents," Prakoso said.
