Bandung, W Java, June 7 -- About 500 musicians performed at the Bandung Angklung City Festival 2026, an event aimed at strengthening cultural collaboration and preserving the bamboo instrument recognized by UNESCO as intangible cultural heritage.

Bandung City Secretary Iskandar Zulkarnain said the angklung is more than a traditional musical instrument, describing it as a symbol of unity that embodies the values of mutual cooperation, tolerance, and harmony.
