Denpasar, Bali, Aug. 6 -- Bali Governor Wayan Koster has designated five low-emission zones on the island as part of an effort to enhance the quality, competitiveness, and and sustainability of Bali's tourism sector.

Speaking in Denpasar on Thursday, Koster identified the five areas as Nusa Dua and Kuta in Badung, Ubud in Gianyar, Sanur in Denpasar City, and the Nusa Penida Islands in Klungkung.

According to him, these five areas are required to adopt green energy solutions through Solar Power Plants (PLTS) across all hotels, restaurants, villas, offices, and residential buildings.
