Denpasar, Feb. 11 -- Indonesia's meteorology agency has issued an early warning for extreme weather in Bali from Feb. 11 to Feb. 17, 2026, citing strong monsoon patterns and heightened atmospheric instability that could trigger heavy rain, lightning and strong winds, an official said on Wednesday.
The Denpasar Region III Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BBMKG) said it had detected significant developments in atmospheric dynamics that may increase rainfall intensity across the island.
Head of BBMKG Region III Cahyo Nugroho said analysis showed the Asian monsoon remains strong, accompanied by wind convergence and deflection patterns over Bali that support cloud formation.
