Jakarta, June 15 -- The state-owned company, ANTARA News Agency, is exploring expanding its media cooperation with the Chinese news agency, Xinhua, particularly in the commercial sector.

"Not only in news or exchange editor, but also in business or commercial aspect," said ANTARA President Director Benny Siga Butarbutar during a meeting with the Xinhua delegation at the ANTARA Heritage Center in Jakarta on Monday.

According to Benny, the first step is to open a Beijing corner on the ANTARA news website, followed by a Jakarta corner on the Xinhua news website.

"So, we can exchange more intense news from Jakarta and Beijing," he said, adding that the opening of such corners can improve the image of both countries.
