Jakarta, Feb. 13 -- Primary and Secondary Education Minister Abdul Mu'ti confirmed that all schools affected by disasters in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra have resumed learning activities.

He said the achievement serves as an important foundation for accelerating post-disaster rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts in the Sumatra region.

In a written statement issued here on Friday, Mu'ti provided detailed data on the extent of damage to educational facilities and infrastructure.

A total of 4,863 schools in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra were affected, comprising 3,409 schools with minor damage, 925 with moderate damage, 437 with severe damage, and 92 schools that were relocated.
