Jakarta, Oct. 9 -- Indonesian air navigation agency AirNav Indonesia and Telkom University have expanded their partnership to develop artificial intelligence and cybersecurity solutions aimed at enhancing flight safety and operational efficiency.

"In aviation, safety is the top priority," AirNav Technical Director Zainal Arifin Harahap said in a statement on Friday.

"Over time, safety must also go hand in hand with efficiency and sustainability."

Harahap emphasized that while AI tools streamline workflows, key safety decisions will remain strictly under human control.
