Tangerang, Banten, Aug. 9 -- Minister of Environment Hanif Faisol Nurofiq confirmed that the Adipura Award assessment will not be merely symbolic but will also drive transformation in waste management from upstream to downstream levels in districts and cities.
"Even if a city is kept clean just to meet the Adipura assessment, but we find that household waste management is not proper, then it will be impossible for that city to receive the Adipura Award," Nurofiq stated here on Saturday.
He noted that currently, some districts and cities in Indonesia are still categorized as Dirty Cities, with a score of 40. Meanwhile, to qualify for the Adipura Award, they must achieve at least 75 points.
