Jakarta, Aug. 14 -- The National Police Headquarters, in coordination with the Jakarta Metropolitan Police, will deploy around seven thousand personnel to secure events marking the 80th Independence Day anniversary in Jakarta.

"We are deploying around seven thousand personnel, including reserve units," head of the Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps, Inspector General Agus Suryonugroho, said during a briefing at the Metro Jaya meeting hall on Thursday.

He informed that the personnel will secure a series of events scheduled between August 15 and 17, 2025.
