Jakarta, April 2 -- The Ministry of Public Works (PU) is directing infrastructure development for the 2027 fiscal year to support food, energy, and water self-sufficiency, as well as boost economic growth to 8 percent.

As part of supporting the national priority programs (Asta Cita), Public Works Minister Dody Hanggodo emphasized his ministry's role in providing basic infrastructure that supports economic activity and public services.

According to him, the ministry is implementing a strategic program called PU 608 with three main targets, including investment efficiency or an incremental capital output ratio (ICOR) below 6, poverty alleviation towards zero percent, and economic growth reaching 8 percent by 2029.
