Garut, June 16 -- Thirteen countries, including Indonesia, are ready to participate in the kite festival to be held in Tepas Papandayan, a mountainous area in Cisurupan Sub-district, Garut District, West Java.

"As of Monday, June 15, 13 countries registered," said Beni Yoga Gunasantika, Head of the Garut District Tourism and Culture Office, in Garut on Tuesday.

The Garut International Kite Festival will also feature participants from several regions, including Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, South Sumatra, and South Kalimantan.

Registered participants come from Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, South Korea, Japan, China, Switzerland, Sweden, France, Italy, and Belgium.
