India, July 31 -- For the eighth consecutive day, senior opposition leaders, including Congress parliamentary party chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, staged a protest in the Parliament House complex against the Election Commission's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar. The protest, organized by MPs from the INDIA bloc, demanded an immediate rollback of the EC's voter list revision, alleging it undermines democratic principles.
