India, Oct. 4 -- The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) on Friday announced that it will install QR code-enabled Project Information Sign Boards along national highways to boost transparency, road safety, and commuter convenience.
These new vertical boards will allow highway users to scan QR codes and instantly access key project details such as highway number, chainage, project length, construction and maintenance timelines, and contact information for the Highway Patrol, Toll Manager, Project Manager, Resident Engineer, and the NHAI field office. The emergency helpline number 1033 will also be prominently displayed.
