India, Aug. 8 -- The Jharkhand government on Saturday opened talks with two groups of protesting job aspirants as the agitation over alleged irregularities in JPSC and JSSC recruitment examinations continued in Ranchi.

An eight-member delegation associated with the Devendra Nath Mahto-led group met government representatives at the State Guest House as Mahto's hunger strike entered its seventh day.

Mahto, a leader of the Jharkhand Loktantrik Krantikari Morcha, said his group continued to demand cancellation of the 14th Jharkhand Public Service Commission Civil Services Examination and other examinations conducted by the agency.
