India, Sept. 12 -- Former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat on Saturday denied reports that he had resigned from the Congress, clarifying that his earlier remarks referred only to the organisational positions he currently holds in the party.

In a fresh post on X, the senior Congress leader said some sections of the media had misinterpreted his earlier statement and stressed that his association with the Congress remained unchanged.

"Some sections of the media are reporting that Harish Rawat has resigned from the Congress party," Rawat said.

"Brother, membership of the Congress party is in my blood and bones. Whatever Harish Rawat is today has been shaped by the Congress. It will remain with me even when I go to heaven," he added...
