Sri Lanka, Oct. 22 -- The Chairman of the Weligama Pradeshiya Sabha, Lasantha Wickramasekara, has reportedly been injured and hospitalised following a shooting incident, a short while ago.

The shooting had occurred while he was seated in the Pradeshiya Sabha chamber, when two unidentified gunmen arrived on a motorcycle opened fire.
