Sri Lanka, Oct. 16 -- A three-member committee has been appointed by the United National Party (UNP) to hold discussions with the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB).

The committee consists of the Deputy Leader of the UNP, Ruwan Wijewardene, UNP General Secretary Thalatha Atukorale, and President's Counsel, Mr. Ronald C. Perera.

The UNP has also reiterated its position that all political parties should come together on one platform to protect Sri Lanka's democratic multi-party system.
