Sri Lanka, June 22 -- A suspect who is alleged to have broken into several houses in areas including Rambukpitiya, Kendopitiya, and Weligampola and had stolen gold jewellery and cash has been arrested by Nawalapitiya Police.



The suspect, a 34-year-old father of one residing in the Kendopitiya area of Nawalapitiya, identified as Mahesh Madusanka also known as "Tikka," has been taken into custody.



Police stated that the suspect is a severe addict of crystal methamphetamine ("Ice") and had previous warrants issued against him in connection with drug dealing and robbery offences.
