Sri Lanka, March 30 -- Sarath Ganegoda has resigned from his position as Chairman of SriLankan Airlines, with effect from 31 March.

Until a new Chairman is appointed by the Secretary to the Treasury, A.K.D.D. Dimal Arandara will serve as Acting Chairman.

Meanwhile, Director Rohan Goonetilleke has also stepped down from the Boards of SriLankan Airlines Limited and SriLankan Catering Limited.
