Sri Lanka, July 11 -- The National Dengue Control Unit has stated that the number of dengue-related deaths reported in the country has increased to 47.



Issuing a statement, the unit highlighted the latest dengue situation in the country.



Accordingly, a total of 67,174 dengue cases have been reported islandwide so far this year.



Acting Director of the Dengue Control Unit, Dr. Kapila Kannangara, stated that 10,685 cases were recorded during the first nine days of July alone, with approximately 1,110 cases reported yesterday (10).
