Srilanka, June 26 -- Deputy Minister of Energy Arkam Ilyas has stated that, in order to maintain the stability of the national electricity grid, consumers with rooftop solar panel systems exceeding 300 kW of capacity have been requested to temporarily switch off their systems from tomorrow (27) until June 29.



Speaking in Parliament today (26), the Deputy Minister said that the temporary deactivation of these systems would help prevent a sudden power disruption similar to the outage experienced during the recent Vesak Poya holiday.
