SriLanka, Oct. 9 -- A private bus that collided with a Metro bus in front of the 170 bus stop in Athurugiriya town has been issued a temporary suspension order.

The incident occurred yesterday (08), when the private bus collided with the Metro bus. Following the incident, Athurugiriya Police had arranged a motor vehicle examiner to inspect the private bus.

The examiner had recommended a temporary suspension of the bus's operations after determining that it had not been properly maintained.

The private bus, which operates on the Athurugiriya-Pettah route, collided with the Metro bus travelling on the Millennium City-Pettah route when the driver attempted to reverse across the main road to enter the Athurugiriya bus stand.
