Srilanka, June 21 -- The highest temperature recorded across Sri Lanka today (21) was 37.2C, according to the Department of Meteorology.



The Department said the maximum temperature was reported from the Polonnaruwa weather station.



Mullaitivu recorded the second-highest temperature, with temperatures reaching 35.8C earlier today.
