Sri Lanka, Aug. 26 -- Sri Lanka's Leader of the Opposition, Sajith Premadasa, extended his greetings to Sri Lankan Muslims on the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi, emphasizing the importance of respect, justice, kindness, and brotherhood beyond racial and religious divisions

Premadasa said diversity should not become a source of division but should instead be transformed into a strength for Sri Lanka.

He said building a society that accepts differences, respects the rights and beliefs of others, and leaves no community behind is the collective responsibility of all.

"May the path of peace, justice, and coexistence shown by the Prophet Muhammad be a new light for Sri Lanka," he said.
