Srilanka, Sept. 9 -- The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) has announced that administrative penalties will be imposed, as applicable, on persons who submitted their Annual or Post-Retirement Declaration of Assets and Liabilities after the prescribed deadline of June 30, 2026, and on or before August 31, 2026.



The Commission said the applicable penalty will be determined having regard to the number of days by which the submission was delayed.



However, the Commission has decided to provide an opportunity for the persons concerned to submit written reasons, supported by relevant documentary evidence, if any, explaining why an administrative penalty should not be imposed for the delay.
