SriLanka, Oct. 4 -- Four people have been killed in separate road accidents reported in several parts of the island over the past 24 hours, according to police.



A 47-year-old man was killed in an accident in the Kithuluthuwa area along the Habarana-Trincomalee Road.



The accident had occurred when a car travelling from Habarana towards Kantale collided with a three-wheeler travelling in the opposite direction.



The three-wheeler driver and a passenger seated in the rear were injured and admitted to the Kantale Base Hospital, where the driver succumbed to his injuries, police said.



The deceased has been identified as a resident of the Agbopura area, police said.
