Former NTC Chairman Renuka Perera arrested by Bribery Commission
Srilanka, Sept. 17 -- Former Chairman of the National Transport Commission (NTC), Renuka Perera has been arrested by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC).
The CIABOC stated that Perera was arrested in connection with allegations of unlawful issuance of route permits for buses, during his tenure as NTC Chairman.
He was arrested over allegations of causing a loss to the government and providing an unlawful benefit to an external party.
