Srilanka, Aug. 6 -- The Disaster Management Centre (DMC) will introduce five special telephone numbers to report disaster situations that may occur during the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination and the 2026 G.C.E. Advanced Level Examination period.



DMC Director Pradeep Kodippili said the new system will be implemented with the continuous support of the tri-forces and Police to ensure necessary assistance during the examination period.



He said the DMC has prepared a special emergency response plan in coordination with all relevant institutions to address possible disasters before, during and after examination days.
