Srilanka, July 8 -- Ambalangoda Police have taken into custody four passenger transport buses that were allegedly operating using kerosene as fuel.



The buses were seized during a special operation conducted last evening (07) by officers, including the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the Ambalangoda Police Traffic Division.



According to police, the buses were operating on the Galle-Colombo and Ambalangoda-Elpitiya routes.



Investigations revealed that some of the buses were allegedly running entirely on kerosene, while others were operating using a fuel mixture containing kerosene.



The drivers of the four buses have been produced before the Balapitiya Magistrate's Court.
