SriLanka, Oct. 10 -- The first meeting of the special committee appointed to update the regulations and standing orders made under the Prisons Ordinance, as decided at the discussion held on October 08 between President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and the Maha Sangha representing the three Nikayas, was held at the Presidential Secretariat.



Minister of Justice and National Integration, Attorney-at-Law Harshana Nanayakkara, provided policy guidance to the committee, the President's Media Division (PMD) said in a statement.
