SriLanka, Oct. 30 -- The overall rate of inflation, as measured by the Colombo Consumer Price Index (CCPI) on a year-on-year basis, increased to 8.3% in October 2026, up from 8.0% recorded in September 2026.

According to the Department of Census and Statistics, food inflation rose to 8.8% in October 2026, from 8.7% in September 2026.

Meanwhile, non-food inflation increased to 8.0% in October 2026, compared to 7.7% recorded in September 2026.
