Srilanka, Sept. 27 -- An Amber-level warm weather advisory has been issued for several parts of the country, with the heat index expected to reach the 'Caution' level in some areas tomorrow (28), the Department of Meteorology said.



The advisory, issued by the Natural Hazards Early Warning Centre at 4:00 p.m. today (27) will be in effect in the North Central and Eastern provinces and Jaffna, Kilinochchi, Mullaitivu, Vavuniya, Monaragala and Hambantota.



The Met. Department said the temperature felt by the human body could increase to the 'Caution' level in some locations during the daytime.



The heat index is calculated using relative humidity and maximum temperature and indicates the level of heat experienced by the human body....
